Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang Akron Civic TheatreAkron, OH
GWAR came on at 730 sharp, had the crowd rolling, and played for about an hour and 20 min. I am definitely a fan of Jonny Lang, vocals were excellent, and there was about a 20 min. intermission while they changed setups. For a young man 31 years old, Jonny Lang has a strong future ahead of him. I hope he has many years left to bless us with his gift.
I am thankful that I was able to witness a true blues legend. There was about a 20 min. intermission while they changed setups for GWAR. Well Jonny Lang started the concert off, and I wish he would have sang some of his older songs.
Latecomers were strolling in for about 45 min, annoying me. The other thing that annoyed me was a couple of people in the row in front of us were constantly texting on their phones, distracting with the light from their phones.
Overall, it was an excellent concert. His voice is still strong, as well as his guitar playing. I don't know if they were stuck in the Boose line or what, but with rows of people standing up and blocking our view to let people in was getting annoying. And the concert lasted over three hours, fantastic.
